2001年京都大学情報学研究科数理工学修士課程修了．同年にNTT入社．コミュニケーション科学基礎研究所に配属．
2006年京都大学情報学研究科社会情報学専攻博士後期課程修了（指導教員：石田亨教授）．博士（情報学）．
長尾真記念特別賞，情報処理学会論文賞，山下記念研究賞，KDDI財団奨励賞，ACM Recognition of Serice Awardなど受賞．
ウェルビーイングの向上，インクルーシブな社会の実現に向けた情報技術の研究開発に従事．
現在，同研究所と社会情報研究所の特別研究員を兼務，京都大学情報学研究科社会情報学専攻客員教授．
